High-powered computers are poised to take weather prediction to a new level of accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New exascale super computers are being rolled out by a number of scientific research institutions to analyze the earth&#8217;s climate and predict weather and long-term climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Models can tessellate the earth and atmosphere into tiny data point regions.  Supercomputers then analyze how all those data points interact with each other, and study models that can predict weather conditions and climate change. The US Department of Energy also bought high-speed Cray computers at <a href=\"https:\/\/wattsupwiththat.com\/2019\/05\/08\/new-exascale-supercomputer-can-run-incorrect-climate-models-even-faster\/\">ORNL for weather and climate simulation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div
