The availability of increasing amounts of data is driving applications that can analyze it, identify patterns in it, and derive meaning from it. The area of data analytics, in particular, is under enormous change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rita Sallam<\/a>, research vice president at Gartner, said that<\/a> “to innovate their way beyond COVID-19, data and analytics leaders require ever-increasing speed and scale of analysis in terms of both processing and access to succeed.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Gartner<\/a>, Specific areas where data analytics is seeing change include :<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

X Analytics. <\/strong> These are analytic techniques targeted to the format of the data. ‘X’ can refer to structured, unstructured, video, audio, text, or other data formats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Move to Cloud.<\/strong> Garter expects that 90 percent of data analytics innovation going forward will be made in the cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Move from Dashboards.<\/strong> Predefined dashboards will be used less as users can more easily customize real-time queries and investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI-powered Analytics. <\/strong> Machine learning and Natural Language Processing will both speed up and improve the quality of analytics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decision Intelligence. <\/strong>This is an AI framework that analytics are adopting that help them design, model, execute and monitor decision models and processes. By 2023, Gartner thinks one-third of large organizations will be using it. <\/p>\n
