Businesses databases are being redeployed into the cloud at a rapid pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garter forecasts <\/a>that by next year more than three-quarters of all databases will be running from the cloud. By 2023, half of revenues for the total database market will be from cloud databases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The largest cloud database providers are Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google GCP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But migration to the cloud won’t be happening over night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Feinberg<\/a>, Gartner analyst, said that<\/a> “most larger organizations have huge applications and a huge amount of data. So, even if they commit 100% to the cloud, it would take them five or more years to completely migrate.”<\/p>\n
