ECM is on the minds of Enterprise IT going into 2010.\u00a0 Forrester Research<\/a>‘s latest survey quizzed IT and knowledge managers about their priorities for the coming year.\u00a0 And ECM is at or near the top of many lists.
\nManagers are looking into ECM to gain capabilities like search, collaboration, compliance, web content management, and records management.\u00a0 In fact, as many as 72% of the managers said that they’re planning to expand or build out their ECM capabilities in 2010.\u00a0 Only 4 percent felt that there may be a need to scale back on their current capabilities.<\/p>\n

One problem the report did come up with is that managers have a hard time proving their expected ROIs, although the most often cited reasons for adopting ECM capabilities was to increase employee productivity and to manage large amounts of data.<\/p>\n
