Walnut Creek, California USA \u2014 Formtek, Inc<\/a>. has received a Subcontract extension for professional services from The Regents of the University of California (the University).<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The Subcontract was issued under the University\u2019s Prime Contract with the US Department of Energy for the management and operation of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, commonly referred to as Berkeley Lab. Formtek provides the University with services in support of Berkeley Lab\u2019s implementation of the Alfresco Digital Business Platform, with a focus on the implementation of Alfresco Governance\/ Records Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The initial Subcontract to Formtek was issued by the University in September 2016, with a period of performance of thirty-six (36) months, through August 2019. Two modifications to the Subcontract had previously been issued, extending the period of performance through August 2021. This latest Subcontract is Modification No. 3 and continues the provision of professional services to Berkeley Lab through August of 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Formtek professional services to Berkeley Lab include technical architecture and design, business process analysis, software configuration, software development, quality assurance testing, project management, training, and operations support. Formtek’s most recent activity at Berkeley Lab is the creation of an action within Alfresco’s Governance Services module that archives the Lab\u2019s Strategic Partnerships Office (SPO) documents associated with partnership proposals and awards. The custom action processes a queue of in-coming SPO documents that originate from the Lab\u2019s Electronic System for Research Administration (eSRA) system. It imports them into the Alfresco Records Management FilePlan and declares them as records, maps eSRA attributes to Alfresco metadata properties, and assigns life-cycle disposition instructions with a retention schedule. The custom SPO Import action can be run either on-demand or as a scheduled job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
