Deloitte Consulting recently has studied enterprise AI implementations<\/a> and developed a metric for assessing how well an organization has been able to adopt AI practices to their business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Deloitte model identifies two parameters: number of AI-based applications deployed and overall effectiveness of all deployed AI applications within the organization. The study applied these two parameters based on the response received by 2875 global executives to score and classify the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study found that this classification split all organizations interviewed into four almost equally-sized groups. The breakdown of their findings are shown in the diagram below. The organization classifications for AI maturity spanned the spectrum from “Starters” to highly-achieved “Transformers”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nitan Mittal<\/a>, Deloitte Consulging AI co-leader, said that<\/a> “becoming an AI-fueled organization is to understand that the transformation process is never complete, but rather a journey of continuous learning and improvement.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deloitte advises that while “the road to becoming AI-fueled can seem daunting, if companies focus on certain areas like data management, machine learning training, AI ethics and talent, that they will be on the road to success.”<\/p>\n
