The report finds that &#8220;As backlogs continue to grow, pent-up demand bodes well for future growth as long as the economy stays healthy, and supply catches up to demand.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Non-cloud\/on-premise continues to make sense for use cases like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Intensive workloads that require large amounts of storage and network costs.<\/li><li>Environments that have security requirements that go above and beyond what shared\/public cloud options can provide.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But beyond those use cases, support for on-premise is slipping quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gartner calls the selection of cloud services as the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2021-11-10-gartner-says-cloud-will-be-the-centerpiece-of-new-digital-experiences\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2021-11-10-gartner-says-cloud-will-be-the-centerpiece-of-new-digital-experiences\">centerpiece of new digital experiences<\/a>&#8221; and estimates that by 2025 95 percent of new digital workloads will be deployed on cloud-native platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/analyst\/9777\/Milind-Govekar\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/analyst\/9777\/Milind-Govekar\">Milind Govekar<\/a>, vice president at Gartner, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2021-11-10-gartner-says-cloud-will-be-the-centerpiece-of-new-digital-experiences\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2021-11-10-gartner-says-cloud-will-be-the-centerpiece-of-new-digital-experiences\">said that<\/a> \u201cthere is no business strategy without a cloud strategy. The adoption and interest in public cloud continues unabated as organizations pursue a &#8216;cloud first&#8217; policy for onboarding new workloads.  Adopting cloud-native platforms means that digital or product teams will use architectural principles and capabilities to take advantage of the inherent capabilities within the cloud environment. New workloads deployed in a cloud-native environment will be pervasive, not just popular and anything non-cloud will be considered legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure
