Gone are the days of tightly walled-in firewall protection using on-premise datacenters. Most businesses today have moved at least some of their operations to the cloud. And that means that most businesses find themselves under continual probes and attacks by cyberhackers. Many or most of the attempts to crack cloud security will likely not succeed, but enough likely will to cause headaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A survey by Trend Micro and Ponemon<\/a> found that about three-quarters of organizations expect to be the victim of a successful cyberattack over the next year. And one-quarter of those respondents say that a successful attack is ‘very likely’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That seems pessimistic, but the numbers are believable when you consider that 80 percent of CISO and IT managers say that their organizations were the victim of successful cyberattacks within the past 12 months and 35 percent said that they have suffered more than seven attacks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Larry Ponemon<\/a>, founder of Ponemon Institute, said that<\/a> “organizations are facing demanding security challenges every day, from software vulnerabilities, data breaches, to ransomware attacks and more.”<\/p>\n
