This has become a common practice among companies designing chips now like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techspot.com\/news\/94281-nvidia-wants-use-gpus-ai-accelerate-improve-future.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.techspot.com\/news\/94281-nvidia-wants-use-gpus-ai-accelerate-improve-future.html\">Nvidia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techrepublic.com\/article\/how-google-used-machine-learning-to-dramatically-improve-chip-design\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.techrepublic.com\/article\/how-google-used-machine-learning-to-dramatically-improve-chip-design\/\">Google<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/samsung-joins-google-and-nvidia-in-using-ai-to-design-chips\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/samsung-joins-google-and-nvidia-in-using-ai-to-design-chips\">Samsung<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2021\/08\/23\/synopsys-ceo-ai-designed-chips-will-generate-1000x-performance-in-10-years\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2021\/08\/23\/synopsys-ceo-ai-designed-chips-will-generate-1000x-performance-in-10-years\/\">Synopsys<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nvidia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/samsung-joins-google-and-nvidia-in-using-ai-to-design-chips\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/samsung-joins-google-and-nvidia-in-using-ai-to-design-chips\">said that<\/a> &#8220;machine-learning techniques such as deep convolutional neural networks and graph-based neural networks could eventually aid designer productivity and automate optimization tasks.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/research.nvidia.com\/person\/mark-ren\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/research.nvidia.com\/person\/mark-ren\">Haoxing Mark Ren<\/a>, Nvidia researcher, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/fit-billions-transistors-chip-let-ai-do\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/fit-billions-transistors-chip-let-ai-do\/\">said that<\/a> \u201cyou can design chips more efficiently, and it gives you the opportunity to explore more design space, which means you can make better chips.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linleygroup.com\/analyst_detail.php?Mike-Demler-18\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.linleygroup.com\/analyst_detail.php?Mike-Demler-18\">Mike Demler<\/a>, analyst at the Linley Group, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/samsung-ai-designed-chip-soon-others-too\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/samsung-ai-designed-chip-soon-others-too\/\">said that<\/a> &#8220;artificial intelligence is well suited to arranging billions of transistors across a chip. It lends itself to these problems that have gotten massively complex. It will just become a standard part of the computational tool kit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/aart-de-geus-2a624b23\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/aart-de-geus-2a624b23\/\">Aart de Geus<\/a>, chief executive of chip-design software maker Synopsys, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/home-and-office\/home-entertainment\/pulsar-xlite-v2-mini-wireless-review\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/home-and-office\/home-entertainment\/pulsar-xlite-v2-mini-wireless-review\/\">said that<\/a> &#8220;a machine will optimize everything, everything&#8230; Start with the specs of the chip, make some architectural decisions, and we automate all the rest.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">de Geus <a href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2021\/08\/23\/synopsys-ceo-ai-designed-chips-will-generate-1000x-performance-in-10-years\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2021\/08\/23\/synopsys-ceo-ai-designed-chips-will-generate-1000x-performance-in-10-years\/\">said that<\/a> &#8220;we\u2019re going to deliver 1,000 times performance at the end of the decade,\u201d he said. \u201cI have high confidence about that. I think we have had the end of classic Moore\u2019s Law. And I believe this new era is moving from scale complexity to systemic complexity.
