For example, a security camera can use edge computing to filter out irrelevant footage and only send relevant clips to the cloud for further analysis.<\/li><li><strong>Enhanced security<\/strong>: Edge computing can also provide more data security and privacy protection, as data is processed within the edge rather than from central servers. This can reduce the risk of data breaches, cyberattacks, and compliance violations, especially for sensitive or regulated data.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Edge computing is not a replacement for cloud computing, but rather a complement that extends the cloud\u2019s capabilities to the edge of the network. As more devices and applications become connected and intelligent, edge computing will play a key role in enabling new innovations and opportunities for businesses and consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The future of edge computing is bright, but it also poses some challenges, such as managing the complexity and diversity of edge devices, ensuring consistent and reliable connectivity, and addressing the environmental and social impacts of edge computing.
