The TamTam<\/a> blog references an article by ECM365<\/a> (Content Management 365) describing an interview they had\u00a0recently with Kevin Hayden, Interwoven’s VP of Marketing.\u00a0 The interview was made\u00a0at a followup meeting of the annual European Interwoven user conference.<\/p>\n

Hayden said that “for the record, our stated strategy is to remain independent and be the provider of solutions.\u00a0 IBM, Oracle and EMC are really platform players and not there to supply deep domain solutions.”<\/p>\n

At the end of the interview, Hayden concluded, “When EMC bought Documentum, they kept brand separate, but now we are seeing a lot of Documentum representatives leaving and a lot of people who used to sell hardware are now selling software.\u00a0 Over time, the Documentum business has gone down dramatically because that’s not important to them.\u00a0 Open Text had something like 4 WCM systems and 3 DM system and there is a lot of confusion in the market as to how it will all go forward.”<\/p>\n
