How are enterprise architecture and technologies evolving? \u00a0Forrester Research<\/a> has come up with a list of the top technologies that are gearing up to reshape architectures and infrastructures across organizations. \u00a0The top ten technologies identified by Forrester, and reported by Joe McKendrick<\/a> on ZDNet, are the following:<\/p>\n

  1. Business intelligence<\/strong> (BI) will be used increasingly by companies to \u00a0analyze massive amounts of data that their organizations are collecting<\/li>\n
  2. Business Automation<\/strong> via rules processing and policy-based SOA will increasingly make frequently performed business transactions faster and more efficient<\/li>\n
  3. Cloud Computing and SaaS<\/strong> will become more widely used to provide more flexibility and expandability of capacity<\/li>\n
  4. Virtualization <\/strong>will be increasingly used and organizations will need to invest in training to be able to most effectively manage and use this new technology<\/li>\n
  5. Collaboration <\/strong>technologies to enable better and more far-reaching communication<\/li>\n
  6. Event centric architectures<\/strong> will cause architects to focus more on events in creating rules and in developing software<\/li>\n
  7. Business Applications will integrate Customer Communities<\/strong> to better be able to respond to customer needs and requirements<\/li>\n
  8. Mobile <\/strong>platforms that are smarter and faster will shift the way that users interact with business applications<\/li>\n
  9. Analytics <\/strong>will be increasingly applied to Social Network and Text-based data to gain better insights into customer needs and requirements<\/li>\n
