Enterprise IT as we know it today will be a thing of the past within ten years time. \u00a0That’s the forecast by analysts at ZapThink<\/a>. \u00a0They’re calling the current situation a ‘crisis point’. \u00a0While most IT managers can see that changes are happening everywhere around them and with rapid speed, they also tend to be in denial that the changes will have a major impact on their way of doing business. \u00a0Jason Bloomberg of ZapThink said that “today\u2019s CIOs are aware of individual forces of change impacting their organizations, but they don\u2019t have sufficient breadth of vision to see how many trends interact.” \u00a0Ronald Schmeltzer<\/a> of ZapThink said that if CIOs don’t have a strong rudder to steer their IT policies and practices through the upcoming storms that they could very well end up being “dashed on the rocks.”<\/p>\n
