Microsoft Grabs Market Share in Enterprise Middleware Market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The BPM and Enterprise middleware market grew more than 9 percent last year and now represents a $16.1 billion market. \u00a0Last year&#8217;s BPM growth was a healthy improvement over 2009&#8217;s results where the market grew at just 2.2 percent. \u00a0That is the result of a <a title=\"Recent IDC report\" href=\"http:\/\/www.idc.com\/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prUS22843011\" target=\"_blank\">recent report<\/a> from <a title=\"Analytst IDC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.idc.com\/home.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">IDC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The report identified the following big-brand vendors as the leading providers of software in this category:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IBM<\/li>\n<li>Oracle<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other less-well known players in the BPM market that IDC identified with the criteria of having at least $20 million in annual revenues and growing faster than 35 percent yearly \u00a0include Accellion, Appian, Crossgate, Cordys, Global 360, InterSystems, Micro Focus, Nintex, Seeburger, YouSendIt, and Workday.<\/p>\n<p>The report shows that while Microsoft is still dwarfed as a player in the Enterprise software market that it is growing at a rate much faster than either IBM or Oracle. \u00a0Microsoft had a 20 percent growth rate in the BPM and Enterprise middleware software in 2010.<\/p>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a
