AIIM<\/a> deserves a lot of credit for their work in educating<\/a> both customers and vendors of ECM technology.\u00a0 They try to target a wide spectrum of job categories, ranging from Business Managers to Regulatory Staff, Solution Providers and Records Managers.\u00a0\u00a0AIIM offers two certificate programs, one for Enterprise Content Management, and the other for Electronic Records Management.<\/p>\n

The ECM Certificate Program covers strategies, tools and technologies used to capture, store, manage, preserve and deliver information in business processes.<\/p>\n

The ERM Certificate Program covers topics related to Records Management as it pertains to both public and private sector.<\/p>\n

Their “Why ECM?” series is covered in 14 online modules or can be taken at 2-day training classes.\u00a0 The classes cover concepts like electronic document management, collaboration, business process management, and electronic records management.<\/p>\n

But beyond training, AIIM also often develops no-cost educational materials.\u00a0 For example, they frequently create posters that capture key concepts and ideas about ECM.\u00a0 One poster that they’ve recently published is called 12 Steps to ECM Success — Best Practice for Implementing ECM<\/em>.\u00a0 It can be downloaded<\/a> for free in PDF format.\u00a0 And there’s an upcoming AIIM-sponsored\u00a0Webinar<\/a> (April 25th) to discuss the concepts outlined on the poster.<\/p>\n
