Workers are increasingly doing more of their work remotely, and the trend is only accelerating as mobility and video conference technologies improve. \u00a0Virtual collaboration<\/a> refers to the people working together on solving a problem but without face-to-face interaction.<\/p>\n

Virtual collaboration has become a top priority<\/a> for businesses of all sizes. \u00a0Workers cite time savings, increased productivity and the opportunity to better focus on their work as the top three benefits of remote collaboration. \u00a0The minuses of working remotely include not being able to directly talk with co-workers, restricted data\u00a0 accessibility, and the reduced understanding of the activities of co-workers. \u00a0Andrew Filev<\/a>, CEO of Wrike, the company that conducted the virtual collaboration survey, said that “Technology can make virtual teams just as efficient as if they were collaborating in the same office. ”<\/p>\n
