Worldwide spending on the SaaS market is expected to grow at the rate of 17.9 percent during 2012, reaching $14.5 billion by the end of the year. \u00a0By 2015, SaaS will become a $22.1 billion market, a number which was revised upwards by nearly $1 billion from last years forecast. \u00a0That’s the estimate of analyst firm Gartner<\/a>.<\/div>\n

Sharon Mertz<\/a>, research director at Gartner, said <\/a>that “After more than a decade of use, adoption of SaaS continues to grow and evolve regionally within the enterprise application markets. \u00a0Increasing familiarity with the SaaS model, continued oversight on IT budgets, the growth of platform-as-a service (PaaS) developer communities and interest in cloud computing are now driving adoption forward.”<\/div>\n
