Tablet computing has become incredibly popular. \u00a0But even though businesses are stocking up on them, they’re not about to replace all of their desktops and laptops with tablets. \u00a0They can’t — according to a recent survey by Alfresco Software<\/a>, maker of popular Open Source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software. \u00a0The Alfresco report<\/a> finds that tablets tend to be used in business as an extension of PCs and laptops. \u00a0Tablets and smart phones have enabled business to be conducted while people travel or move around in their office. Content creation is still too hard to do on mobile devices. \u00a0Users typically find tablets and smart phone devices to be significantly harder to use for creating new content. \u00a0For example, even when just writing short emails, using a tablet isn’t as convenient as with a PC, and creating emails on a smart phone is a challenge.
