Management: Discontent Leads to Plans for Migration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Businesses aren&#8217;t satisfied with their current data management solutions.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Irfan Khan bio\" href=\"http:\/\/irfankhan.sys-con.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Irfan Khan<\/a>, Vice President and Chief Technology of SAP&#8217;s Sybase, recently <a title=\"Sybase survey of data management satisfaction\" href=\"http:\/\/www.itworld.com\/it-managementstrategy\/298090\/data-management-discontent-time-change\" target=\"_blank\">reported results of a survey<\/a> of IT groups from enterprises with more than 15,000 workers\u00a0conducted on their behalf by IDG.<\/p>\n<p>The survey revealed high levels of discontent with current data management solutions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>56 percent <\/strong>say they&#8217;re having problems managing costs and efficiencies in a complex infrastructure<\/li>\n<li><strong>46 percent<\/strong> aren&#8217;t happy with the real-time access and analysis capabilities of their system<\/li>\n<li><strong>41 percent<\/strong> say they&#8217;re struggling to support growing mobile access to their system<\/li>\n<li><strong>20 percent<\/strong> say that their current solution isn&#8217;t capable of supporting big data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a result, nearly half (49 percent) say that they expect to change their current data management approach over the next two years.<\/p>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a class=\"lightsocial_a\"
