{"id":4650,"date":"2014-06-04T07:00:34","date_gmt":"2014-06-04T15:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/?p=4650"},"modified":"2014-05-12T07:01:01","modified_gmt":"2014-05-12T15:01:01","slug":"digital-businesses-full-commitment-to-digital-technology-yields-best-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/digital-businesses-full-commitment-to-digital-technology-yields-best-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Businesses: Full Commitment to Digital Technology Yields Best Results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Only 21 percent of CEOs have a clear vision for how digital technologies can be used to help their businesses. \u00a0That&#8217;s one of the major finding of <a title=\"Forrester Digital Strategy Report\" href=\"http:\/\/www.forrester.com\/The+State+Of+Digital+Business+2014\/fulltext\/-\/E-RES113962\" target=\"_blank\">a report on digital strategies by Forrester Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Forrester report said that &#8220;despite the threat of disruption, digital is not yet driving business strategy in 2014. Only 34 percent of executives in companies with more than 250 employees see digital technology as a major driver\u2028 of business strategy. Forrester expects this number to climb significantly as more and more firms feel the impact of disruption in their markets.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Some other findings of the Forrester report include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comprehensive adoption of digital is needed. \u00a0The report noted that businesses only half-heartedly adopting digital technologies won&#8217;t be successful.<\/li>\n<li>Digital needs to be recognized as a core technology to the business. \u00a0Digital will be central for businesses to win, serve and retain customers.<\/li>\n<li>Cooperation between business groups is needed. \u00a0In order to transform to a digital business, cooperation between both marketing and IT groups is required. \u00a0Digital adoption strategies driven by marketing alone are likely to result in incomplete bolt-on solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Forrester found the following three skill sets most in demand in Enterprise IT groups:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data analytics (60 percent)<\/li>\n<li>User Interface development and design (57 percent)<\/li>\n<li>Overall digital strategy services (53 percent)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div
