Businesses that adopt cloud technologies are significantly reducing their costs<\/a>, but monetary cost is often not the main reason why businesses are finding value in the cloud.<\/p>\n

Angelia Herrin<\/a>, research director at HBR, said that<\/a> cloud computing adopters “are very aggressively moving forward where ever it makes sense. \u00a0The people that are really getting competitive advantage are the ones who are moving aggressively. \u00a0And they’re certainly not leading with cost as a reason to do this.”<\/p>\n

A report by Harvard Business Review (HBR)<\/a> and sponsored by Verizon \u00a0found that another advantage of cloud computing is that \u00a0increases a business’ competitive advantage. \u00a0That sounds good, but what does that mean? \u00a0The report highlights drills down into the meaning of competitive advantage by listing three major benefits that companies achieve by using cloud computing technologies:<\/p>\n
