The US still is the best place to invest<\/a> in startups say Venture Capitalists (VC’s) according to a survey of 331 globally-located VC’s by Deloitte & Touche LLP. \u00a0Despite that, when VC’s were asked if their government is developing an environment that will foster startups and new businesses, the US VC’s gave the US government a ranking that put them in last place.<\/p>\n

Venture Capitalists rate the best countries to invest in as the United States, Israel, Canada and Germany. \u00a0Countries where VC’s are losing confidence include Brazil, India and China.<\/p>\n

The sectors that have seen the greatest growth<\/a> in investments from Venture Capitalists are\u00a0healthcare, clean technologies and robotic companies. \u00a0Cloud Computing\/SaaS and Mobile remain as the top two areas for investment, followed by Healthcare IT and Enterprise Software.<\/p>\n

Jim Atwell<\/a>, national managing partner of the Emerging Growth Company practice, Deloitte & Touche, said that<\/a>\u00a0“for the past three years the U.S. has seen a significant increase in investor confidence, continuing the trend which began to take hold in 2012.”<\/p>\n
