CIOs Increase Enterprise Investments in Mobility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Enterprises are expected to increase mobility spending by 50 percent over the next 24 months, based on a <a title=\"Survey sponsored by Oracle and conducted by CIO\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oracle.com\/us\/corporate\/press\/2255007\" target=\"_blank\">survey conducted by CIO and sponsored by Oracle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the other findings from the survey of more than 400 CIOs are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Security<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>93 percent worry about data loss and security breaches resulting from BYOD policies<\/li>\n<li>Organizations say to beef up security they plan to focus on:<br \/>\n&#8211; Device Data Encryption<br \/>\n&#8211; Centralized updating and troubleshooting<br \/>\n&#8211; Remote wiping of data<br \/>\n&#8211; Lockdown features<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mobile Devices<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IT departments spend, on average, $157 per employee on mobile devices, a number expected to grow to $242 over the next two years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mobile Apps<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30 percent of IT development is spent on mobile apps<\/li>\n<li>Mobile apps offered by IT departments change frequently. \u00a0More than one third update their app portfolio at least monthly and another third do it at least quarterly.<\/li>\n<li>44 percent of the app portfolio is internally developed<\/li>\n<li>84 percent said that sales and marketing play the biggest part in influencing how internal applications are developed<\/li>\n<li>75 percent of those surveyed said cloud computing was very important for mobile development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a class=\"lightsocial_a\"
