href=\"http:\/\/www.gartner.com\/newsroom\/id\/3056118\" target=\"_blank\">according to Gartner<\/a>. \u00a0Of that money, 47 percent of it were for SaaS-based CRM applications.<\/p>\n<p>The report noted market share as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>18.4 percent<\/strong> &#8211; Salesforce<\/li>\n<li><strong>12.1 percent<\/strong> &#8211; SAP<\/li>\n<li><strong>9.2 percent<\/strong> &#8211; Oracle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a title=\"Joanne Correia bio\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gartner.com\/analyst\/14501\/Joanne-M.-Correia\" target=\"_blank\">Joanne Correia<\/a>, research vice president at Gartner, <a title=\"Joanne Correia on CRM\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gartner.com\/newsroom\/id\/3056118\" target=\"_blank\">said that<\/a>\u00a0&#8220;strong demand for software as a service (SaaS) continues, with SaaS accounting for almost 47 percent of total CRM software revenue in 2014. \u00a0This is driven by organizations of all sizes seeking easier-to-deploy and faster-ROI alternatives to modernizing legacy systems, implementing new applications, or providing alternative complementary functionality&#8230; \u00a0Large CRM vendors leveraged their acquisitions to extend their position in new markets and to enrich the depth of their current feature sets in 2014.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a class=\"lightsocial_a\"
