Businesses are itching to modernize their IT and business applications, according to a survey by Hitachi Consulting<\/a>. \u00a090 percent of businesses say that they have to deal with legacy applications that are holding them back. \u00a0More than one third say that nearly every project that comes up has issues related to legacy applications that need to be addressed.<\/p>\n

Chris Saul<\/a>, vice president at\u00a0Hitachi Consulting, said that<\/a> if you \u201cask any IT director or CIO they\u2019ll probably tell you that they\u2019re envious of start-ups that have a greenfield to build their IT infrastructure. \u00a0Bulldozing isn\u2019t often an option, so IT leaders need to find ways of introducing new applications, services and approaches \u2013 and do so quickly, with the ability to scale.”<\/p>\n
