\nAbout\u00a0three-quarter of companies say they plan to invest.<\/p>\n

Why are businesses investing?<\/strong>
\nEnhanced customer experience (64 percent) and increased process efficiency (47 percent)<\/p>\n

Will Big Data investment have Positive ROI?
\n<\/strong>About half of companies planning to invest think so, but another 43 percent aren’t sure.<\/p>\n

Who initiates Big Data Projects?
\n<\/strong>Gartner found that about one-third of projects are initiated by business unit heads, and another third of the time by CIOs.<\/p>\n

What’s the expected success rate of Big Data projects?<\/strong>
\nActually, not so good. \u00a0Gartner said to expect about two-thirds of projects to not succeed and likely be abandoned.<\/p>\n
