\u201cThe robots are among us. \u00a0A lot of people are going to come in contact with robots in the next two to five years,” said\u00a0Steve Jurvetson<\/a>, director at Tesla and SpaceX, as reported by the Financial Times<\/a>. \u00a0Jurvetson is just one of many investors and venture capitalist businesses that are putting money into the development of robotics.<\/p>\n

Robohub.com reports an increasing flow of development investment funding<\/a> for robotic ventures. \u00a0They tallied 19 robotic startups\u00a0in April receiving $175 million of investment funds. \u00a0$45.4 million were invested in March, $18.6 million in February, and $15.8 million in January. \u00a0In addition, in April there were four robotic companies acquired for a total of more than $422 million. \u00a0CB Insights <\/a>counts 83 investment deals in 2015 for robotic companies, roughly double the number from 2014. \u00a0During 2015, the investment growth rate soared 115 percent. \u00a0A majority of the deals though are angel and series A investments, so the robotics industry as a whole is still immature.<\/p>\n

Parallel to the investments pouring in for robotics, analysts are also gearing up to study the rapidly growing industry. \u00a0The Robot Report, for example,\u00a0<\/a>lists 47 different recent studies on the robotics industry from different research companies.<\/p>\n
