A survey from analyst firm Enterprise Strategy Group<\/a> (ESG) shows that many midsize companies are gravitating towards SaaS. More than a third of the 544 companies that they polled with 100 to 999 employees say that they’re using SaaS in some way to augment their IT services. And another 28 percent expect to adopt SaaS over the next 24 months.<\/p>\n

Most companies with less than a thousand employees don’t have the internal expertise to service all IT applications and infrastructure for their organization. They find it very attractive to be able to turn over operations to a company that has the specific expertise.<\/p>\n

Julie Craig of Enterprise Management Associates<\/a> in Boulder summed up the advantages of On-Demand: “SaaS is a way for midsize businesses to access the same software and expertise as large, global companies. You get world-class security and management without the huge upfront licensing, development, and infrastructure costs.”<\/p>\n
