Over the last ten years the mobile computing market has grown into a powerhouse. The market includes software,\u00a0services and hardware like smartphones, tablets and portable PCs. \u00a0The global market size of mobile in 2016 is $1.5 trillion and IDC expects it grow to $1.7 trillion by 2020<\/a>. \u00a0Software in particular is experiencing double-digit annual growth. \u00a0Growth is strong in the area of mobile enterprise applications and mobile enterprise security.<\/p>\n

The mobile industry has changed dramatically since the introduction of the iPhone in January 2007.<\/p>\n

Jessica Goepfert<\/a>, IDC analyst, said<\/a> “worldwide, the healthcare provider industry is expected to have the fastest growth in mobility spending over the life of the forecast. Within the U.S., however, while the healthcare provider industry is still expected to be among the top 5 growth areas for mobility, spending is starting to temper. Rather, we see good activity in the securities and investment services industry, where mobility projects are focused on enabling more productive and meaningful ways to engage with clients.”<\/p>\n
