IBM has launched a series of products<\/a> that are now delivered via the web. These so-called cloud services target companies of all sizes and are meant to help companies free up resources and to achieve better value from their in-house IT infrastructure.<\/p>\n

IBM’s cloud offering has four parts:
\n– Offer software applications built by IBM
\n– Work with ISVs to create services opportunities around the cloud infrastructure
\n– Work with clients to integrate cloud services
\n– Offer basic cloud infrastructure for others to build on<\/p>\n

To support the initiative, IBM has opened 13 globally-located Cloud Computing Centers and 40 IBM Innovation Centers to testing cloud-delivered applications.
\nThe IBM applications include:
\n– Bluehouse, a social networking and collaboration cloud service
\n– A service to automatically scan web content to test for privacy, quality, and accessibility issues
\n– A service to scan for web application security weaknesses<\/p>\n
