 Top Strategic IT Technologies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gartner has released their list of <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"Top 10 Strategic Initiatives\" href=\"http:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/news\/story\/gartner-identifies-four-disruptions-transform\/story.aspx?guid=%7B5B57995D-2998-4867-AB3B-03DA5BEE8332%7D&#038;dist=hppr\">Top 10 Strategic Technologies<\/a> for 2009.\u00a0 This list follows up and echoes many of the same entries as the top 10 Disruptive Technology list Gartner put out in June and last year&#8217;s Strategic Technology list.\u00a0 Nothing very revolutionary in what they came up with, but enough to capture the IT headlines.<\/p>\n<p>Gartner defines a strategic technology as &#8220;an existing technology that has matured and\/or become suitable for a wider range of uses.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Here it their list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Virtualization<\/li>\n<li>Cloud Computing<\/li>\n<li>Servers\u00a0 (evolving to be more easily provisioned and to better manage capacity and configurations)<\/li>\n<li>Web Oriented Architectures (WOA)<\/li>\n<li>Enterprise Mashups<\/li>\n<li>Specialized Systems<\/li>\n<li>Social Software and Social Networking<\/li>\n<li>Unified Communications<\/li>\n<li>Business Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Green IT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a
