How can you make software better? \u00a0Only 64 percent of companies say that they’re satisfied with the quality of the software that their teams create.<\/p>\n

The number one way<\/em> to improve the quality of software is for developers to engage in code reviews, according to a survey\u00a0by SmartBear Software<\/a>. \u00a052 percent of companies say that code review is the best way to ensure quality. \u00a0Unit testing came in as the second best method for achieving quality.<\/p>\n

The report found that<\/a> “with software code driving competitive advantage in numerous products and processes across industries, organizations of all types and sizes view software quality as a top priority.”<\/p>\n

Why don’t more businesses use code review? Ryan Lloyd<\/a>, Vice President of Products at SmartBear, said that<\/a> “while code review continues to be the No.1 way to improve software quality, there are significant challenges to implementing this best practice such as heavy workloads, time constraints and lack of manpower. “<\/p>\n
