{"id":7546,"date":"2017-07-28T07:00:58","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T15:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/?p=7546"},"modified":"2017-06-07T07:29:27","modified_gmt":"2017-06-07T15:29:27","slug":"security-iot-and-mobile-challenge-cyber-security-professionals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/security-iot-and-mobile-challenge-cyber-security-professionals\/","title":{"rendered":"Security: IoT and Mobile Challenge Cyber Security Professionals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A recent<a href=\"https:\/\/cybersecurity.isaca.org\/state-of-cybersecurity\"> security report by\u00a0\u00a0ISACA<\/a> found security to be a top priority for many companies.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cybersecurity.isaca.org\/news-releases\/2017\/hands-tied-half-of-organizations-say-cyber-attacks-are-on-the-rise-but-resource-constraints-persist\">findings of the ISACA report<\/a> include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>97 percent of organizations are seeing an increase in use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices<\/li>\n<li>78 percent of organization report being targets of malicious attacks over the last year<\/li>\n<li>80 percent of organizations expect to be targets of cyberattacks\u00a0this year, but many organizations complain that they have insufficient resources to fight back<\/li>\n<li>62 percent of organizations were targets of ransomware attacks, but only 53 percent have a process in place to deal with it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.isaca.org\/About-ISACA\/Press-room\/News-Releases\/2015\/Pages\/Christos-Dimitriadis-of-Greece-Elected-International-President-of-ISACA.aspx\">Christos Dimitriadis<\/a>, chair of the board of directors of ISACA, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/five-pitfalls-to-avoid-in-mobile-and-iot-security\/\">said that<\/a> &#8220;we see more and more IoT and mobile devices in the enterprise. This is quite concerning, because there are a lot of measures that have to be taken to make sure that we safely embrace that technology. IoT and mobile are the future, but we have an emerging cyber threat landscape.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dimitriadis <a href=\"https:\/\/cybersecurity.isaca.org\/news-releases\/2017\/hands-tied-half-of-organizations-say-cyber-attacks-are-on-the-rise-but-resource-constraints-persist\">said that<\/a> &#8220;there is a significant and concerning gap between the threats an organization faces and its readiness to address those threats in a timely or effective manner. Cyber security professionals face huge demands to secure organizational infrastructure, and teams need to be properly trained, resourced and prepared.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a class=\"lightsocial_a\"
