{"id":7820,"date":"2017-11-10T07:00:04","date_gmt":"2017-11-10T15:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/?p=7820"},"modified":"2017-10-04T07:37:59","modified_gmt":"2017-10-04T15:37:59","slug":"it-spending-4-3-percent-growth-forecast-for-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/it-spending-4-3-percent-growth-forecast-for-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"IT Spending: 4.3 Percent Growth Forecast for 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gartner.com\/newsroom\/id\/3811363\">Gartner predicts <\/a>that global IT spending will hit $3.7 trillion in 2018, a 4.3 percent increase over spending in 2017.\u00a0 Software spending is expected to increase by 8.5 percent and IT services will rise 4 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The top markets that dominate global IT spending include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cloud Based<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Infrastructure as a service [IaaS]<\/li>\n<li>Integrated platform as a service [iPaas]<\/li>\n<li>Communications platform as a service [cPaaS]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Digital Workplace<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Workstream collaboration<\/li>\n<li>Workforce analytics<\/li>\n<li>Video message-oriented middleware (MOM)<\/li>\n<li>Security (endpoint detection and response)<\/li>\n<li>Analytics (smart data discovery)<\/li>\n<li>Storage (in-memory data grids)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/analyst\/24314\/John-David-Lovelock\">John-David Lovelock<\/a>, Research Vice President at Gartner, said that &#8220;the IT buying landscape is changing: Digital business transformation is an effort to create connected, platforms and new industry revenue streams. Organizations that are not creating new digital business models or new ways to engage constituents or customers, are falling behind. Those vendors that do not move more quickly than their clients, will be left behind.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a class=\"lightsocial_a\"
