{"id":8553,"date":"2018-07-19T06:18:06","date_gmt":"2018-07-19T14:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/?p=8553"},"modified":"2018-05-25T07:36:15","modified_gmt":"2018-05-25T15:36:15","slug":"ai-ethics-ethical-issues-cause-worry-about-artificial-intelligence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/ai-ethics-ethical-issues-cause-worry-about-artificial-intelligence\/","title":{"rendered":"AI Ethics: Ethical Issues Cause Worry About Artificial Intelligence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Massive archives of data collected by tech businesses and governments worry many that new technologies will steal or privacy and limit control on our lives.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2018\/04\/06\/elon-musk-warns-ai-could-create-immortal-dictator-in-documentary.html\">Tech leaders like Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking<\/a> warn that not properly managed, technologies like artificial intelligence and robots can lead to nightmare scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>Musk said that &#8220;if AI has a goal and humanity just happens to be in the way, it will destroy humanity as a matter of course without even thinking about it. No hard feelings.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But the worry is not just about the destruction of humanity. The rise of AI and robotics bring with it additional problems, as cited by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2016\/10\/top-10-ethical-issues-in-artificial-intelligence\/\">World Economic Forum.\u00a0 Some of the problems include:<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unemployment from job displacement<\/li>\n<li>Income inequality<\/li>\n<li>How will machines affect how people interact?<\/li>\n<li>How do we prevent machines from being fooled?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.techuk.org\/about\/our-staff\/directors\/item\/104-julian-david\">Julian David<\/a>, chief executive of TechUK, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raconteur.net\/technology\/the-ethics-of-ai-how-to-hold-machines-accountable\">said that<\/a> &#8220;Accountability is key. The people behind the AI must be accountable. That is why we need to think very carefully before we give machines a legal identity. Businesses that genuinely want to do good and be trustworthy will need to pay much more attention to ethics.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a
