The educational arm of the American Records Management Association (ARMA) — the ARMA International Educational Foundation (AIEF) — has entered into a partnership<\/a> with the International Records Management Trust (IRMT).\u00a0 The goal of the partnership is to improve global education on records management.<\/p>\n

The joint cooperation focuses on advancing education, research and scholarship in the area of records maangement.\u00a0 The agreement also has a special focus on developing nations in Africa and elsewhere.\u00a0 By distributing educational materials in these developing countries the hope is that that they might be able to leapfrog directly into a purely electronic environment.<\/p>\n
