the application of these technologies, but there also has been a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techrepublic.com\/article\/the-10-biggest-ai-failures-of-2017\/\">sizable number of disappointments and failure with projects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>KPMG has identified what they call the Intelligent Automation (IA) Market.\u00a0 It consists of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic process automation.\u00a0 The market size is estimated to be about $12.4 billion in 2018 and will grow to $232 billion by 2025.<\/p>\n<p>How can businesses improve their chances of success with implementing IA projects?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/internetofbusiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/EMBARGOED-KPMG-Report-7.30.18.pdf\">A study by KPMG<\/a> identifies two critical elements for achieving success:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Projects need to be supported and directed from the C-level, not as a tactical decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Focus should be on business and operating model transformation, not departmental deployments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>KPMG argues that businesses need to shift from a model where technology supports people to one where people support technology.\u00a0 KPMG calls it a &#8220;digital-first operating model.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"lightsocial_container\"><div class=\"lightsocial_element\"><a class=\"lightsocial_a\"
