ECM is typically sold as a tool to automate and speed-up business processes, as a tool to centralize search and business intelligence, or as a way to consolidate and eliminate the sheer physical space taken up by paper documents.\u00a0 ECM helps improve operational efficiency, customer experience, compliance, and risk management.\u00a0 But lately people are declaring another benefit of ECM:\u00a0 it is a green technology.<\/p>\n

Sure everybody wants to be able to align and associate themselves with the current trend, and that’s obviously a large part of all the talk.\u00a0 Anything that can be declared ‘green’ now is good.\u00a0 In the case of ECM, there is some amount of truth to it.\u00a0 Use of ECM can eliminate or reduce the amount of paper that is used.<\/p>\n
