The report found that about a fifth of the total market share is controlled by these ten companies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accenture Ltd<\/li>\n<li>Capgemini S.A.<\/li>\n<li>Computer Sciences Corporation<\/li>\n<li>EMC Corporation<\/li>\n<li>Google Inc.<\/li>\n<li>Hewlett-Packard Company<\/li>\n<li>International Business Machines Corporation<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Corporation<\/li>\n<li>Oracle Corporation<\/li>\n<li>SAP AG<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The software and services generated by these top ten companies was $413.4 billion in 2008, a 12.3% increase over 2007, while their net profit increased by 18% over that same period.\u00a0 From 2004-2008 this sector has consistently grown at a rate of 12.2%.\u00a0 Many of those software and service dollars are being spent by companies trying to improve their internal efficiencies.<\/p>\n<div id=\"refHTML\" \/><input type=\"hidden\" id=\"gwProxy\" \/><!--Session data--><input type=\"hidden\" id=\"jsProxy\"
