At 333 slides, the report on all aspects of the Internet is comprehensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meeker found that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cloud services revenues of Google, Amazon, and Microsoft are collectively closing in on $14 billion, a jump of about 58% year-over-year.<\/li><li> More data is now stored in the cloud than on private enterprise servers or consumer devices.<\/li><li> Seven of the top 10 companies in the world by market capitalization are technology companies, and four of the top six are US-based.<\/li><li> Public and private investments into tech companies is at at a two-decade high, nearing $200 billion last year.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One section of the report reviewed the explosive increase of data collection and analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Data Volume + Utilization = Evolving Rapidly and Broadly<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meeker quotes <a href=\"https:\/\/looker.com\/company\/leadership\">Frank Bien<\/a>, CEO and President of Looker, saying &#8220;data is now fundamental to how people work and the most successful companies have integrated it into everyone&#8217;s daily workflow\u2026 Data is the new application.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"646\" src=\"http:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/image-1024x646.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9436\" srcset=\"https:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/image-1024x646.png 1024w, https:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/image-300x189.png 300w, https:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/image-768x484.png 768w, https:\/\/formtek.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/image.png 1177w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bondcap.com\/report\/itr19\/#view\/151\">Slide 151 of Mary Meeker 2019 Internet Trends<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Data Plumbing Tools&#8221; are seeing growth.  These tools are classified into three groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Collecting data<\/strong> &#8211; Improve Products and Processes.  Manage customer and subscriber relationships.<\/li><li><strong>Managing Connections<\/strong> &#8211; Organizing internal and external communication.  Better communication with customers using multiple channels.<\/li><li><strong>Optimizing Data<\/strong> &#8211; Improve analytics, recommendations and personalization.  Business insights.  Fulfillment Optimization.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cloud is overtaking data stored on-premise in enterprises and locally by consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
