No-Code and Low-Code software tools are enabling businesses to accelerate their development and deployment of software. The tools are usable by analysts and other non-developers to build apps without the overhead of communicating requirements to developer teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus of non-code projects is on the business logic being implemented, not on software internal details. No-code and low-code tools typically provide wizards and drop-down menus that lead the user through the steps needed to change an application. The changes can be made and deployed in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rob Koplowitz<\/a>, VP and principal analyst at Forrester, said that<\/a> “if we look at basic issues companies have now, what we often hear is, \u2018I can\u2019t build applications fast enough and by the time I build them the specs have changed’.” No-code and Low-code specifically try to target that problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Vincent<\/a>, Gartner research analyst, said that<\/a> “by deploying no-code tools in a platform, IT can oversee data governance and compliance while still giving business people the power to develop the systems they want… We are seeing IT becoming brokers in providing a center of excellence to support citizen developers, rather than IT building applications and handing them over to the business.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
