Humans are the weakest link <\/a>when it comes to security say the reports and headlines. IT professionals point the finger. Human negligence is our worst security enemy say 78 percent of IT.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theresa Payton<\/a>, CEO of Fortalice Solutions , said that<\/a> “From a social engineering standpoint, it has never been easier to trick employees. Business email compromise is one of the largest unreported crimes after ransomware… Technology is open to be hacked and data can never be 100 percent secure.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But should we really be blaming humans? Is it really all our fault? Or is the problem that the current technology is flawed so that it’s too easy to be hacked in ways that will trick us into doing things that we didn’t intend?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Payton says that “We have to design for the human.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oz Alashe<\/a>, CEO of CybSafe, wrote that<\/a> “let\u2019s get away from seeing the human as hazard<\/em>, and let\u2019s start seeing the human as hero<\/em>. People aren\u2019t the ‘weakest link’. Armed with the right knowledge, the right motivations, and the right resources, they\u2019re business\u2019 strongest security asset.”<\/p>\n
