Over the last decade, SaaS has seen spectacular growth, finishing 2019 with a better than $100-billion year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srgresearch.com\/articles\/the-decades-megatrends-in-numbers-part-2\">according to data by Synergy Research<\/a> &#8212; that&#8217;s about 23 percent of the total $450 billion enterprise software market.  Microsoft accounts for about one-fifth of total SaaS revenues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1004\" height=\"641\" Growth<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/johndinsdale\/\">John Dinsdale<\/a>, Synergy Research Group chief analyst said  that &#8220;buying SaaS versions of software has become ever more attractive to enterprises throughout the last decade, thanks to dramatic improvements in hosting capabilities, more flexible economics and increased comfort in moving to a cloud-based operational model.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other SaaS statistics as we enter the new decade incldue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/802855\/worldwide-largest-saas-providers-market-cap\/\">Salesforce.com is the largest publicly traded SaaS company<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oberlo.com\/blog\/tiktok-statistics\">TikTok<\/a> is the fastest growing SaaS application with 33 million downloads in one quarter<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blissfully.com\/saas-trends\/it-compliance-2019\/\">73 percent of organizations <\/a>think that nearly all of their apps will be SaaS by the end of 2020<\/li><\/ul>\n<div
