IT Spending: Decline in Data Center Spending Slows IT Growth

By Dick Weisinger

Global IT spending is expected to reach $3.79 trillion dollars, according to Gartner. A huge sum. It much bigger than the entire 2019 GDP of the United Kingdom.

IT spending growth has notched down and is expected to be only 1.1 percent in 2019. Spending had been initially forecast higher, but data center spending has been a drag on overall IT spending and is expected to decline 2.8 percent this year.
