Formtek announces release of EDM Module 3.2

 Available for Alfresco Content Services 5.2.x on Windows or Linux

Formtek’s Engineering Data Management (EDM) Module is Alfresco Certified Technology that provides for flexible yet secure management of engineering documents and drawings. The Formtek EDM Module provides for extraction of AutoCAD® block attributes and mapping to Alfresco properties, association of the base drawing to its XRefs within the repository, automatic rendering of AutoCAD and MicroStation file types for viewing in Alfresco Share, and much more.

New EDM Module 3.2 features include:

  • Automatic XRef management
  • Bidirectional property updates for AutoCAD DWG files
  • External image reference support in the complete drawing rendition
  • Option for black & white viewing, in addition to color and grayscale
  • Solr indexing of AutoCAD text for content-based searching
  • Recursive folder search for manual XRef management
  • Extraction of constrained multi-valued properties
