Records Management: 5015.2 Certified Open-Source Records Management
It’s official. [Well sort of since it hasn’t yet been updated on the DoD JITC site of certified 5015.2 products.] Alfresco’s Open Source ECM solution is now certified for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.02 standard. 5015.2 is a standard that is endorsed by NARA (National Archives and Records Administration) and is often viewed as a best-practice model for records management in organizations. 5015.2 is a certification that is mandatory for a records management software product to be sold to any part of the federal government. Alfresco features that enabled 5015.2 certification include:
