About half of companies planning to invest think so, but another 43 percent aren’t sure.

Gartner found that about one-third of projects are initiated by business unit heads, and another third of the time by CIOs.
What’s the expected success rate of Big Data projects?
Actually, not so good. Gartner said to expect about two-thirds of projects to not succeed and likely be abandoned.
