Big Data: More Data Points that Document the Speed of the Data Deluge

The total amount of information available in the world, or the ‘digital universe’, is expected to double every two years from now until 2020, according to IDC research sponsored by EMC.  In 2020, there will be more than five terabytes of information stored for every person on the earth, for a total of more than 40,000 exabytes of data.

QMee recently put together an Infographic that measures and compares the speed and volumes at which some major data services are enabling users to create, search and consume data.
