Digital Transformation: IT Can’t Be Done without IT Automation
What does Digital Transformation mean to today’s businesses? Technologies like the cloud, analytics, mobile, big data and others come to mind. A report from BMC finds that perhaps even more important than any of those, IT automation is key to digital transformation.
Of IT executives in a BMC survey:
- 50 percent said that Digital Transformation is their top priority
- 89 percent said IT automation is critical for their business to achieve Digital Transformation.
- 73 percent said that if a business does not accept IT automation, the business will likely no longer exist in ten years
Gur Steif, president of digital automation at BMC, said that “without taking a new approach to IT automation, companies will not be able to overcome the budget, skills, and time constraint challenge… Only through new digital-first technologies with automation solutions that support hybrid multi-clouds, will CIOs enable their companies to innovate, transform, and accelerate growth by aggressively pursuing a digital agenda that differentiates them from their competitors.”
