Mobile Content Management (mCM): Mobile is Major Enabler of Digital Transformation

By Dick Weisinger

The global mobile Content Management (CM) market is expected to grow at a rate of nearly 22 percent annually over the next five years, according to research by analyst firm Technavio.  The report identifies mobile applications as a major enabler of digital transformation in businesses.  Mobile devices enable employees to more easily access and share content than ever before.  The report estimates that within the next two years more than one-third of employees will be able to work remotely.

The Technavio report identifies the following three trends as driving the upcoming growth with Mobile ECM:

  • Increased availability of mobile devices and accessibility
  • Need for real-time decision making
  • Growing use of dynamic content

Naresh Vissa, CEO of Krish Media & Marketing, said that “as people get more comfortable with their smartphones, and as developers improve the ease of use, mobile will be where business is done. Already, payments, banking, dating, communication, networking, art, writing, recording, and more are on mobile platforms.”

Strongly agree with this post, because people are now continuously handling their entire businesses routines through mobile phones with the availability of Skype, Mobile banking, Mobileday, GoToMeeting,… and other business management application which help businesses to get handled in just 1 click away.
